Prince George’s County Public Schools in Maryland wants to hear from parents and caregivers about a topic that generates lots of debate: homework.

In 1964, the Prince William County Public School Board appointed Fannie and three other African-American teachers to integrate the all-white schools in Prince William County. She was assigned to Fred Lynn Elementary and Middle School. As a result of the hard work, fortitude and perseverance by Fannie and the three other teachers, Prince.

Omagh County Primary School enjoys a fine reputation as a forward looking and proactive provider of quality teaching and learning. Our children acquire a broad range of skills and knowledge and it is our belief that all children, given support and encouragement, can achieve their full potential.

The Prince William County Salvation Army provides both extra-curricular activities, free snacks and educational resources for children. This teaches the youth important skills and get the opportunity that many deserve. Whether it is helping doing homework, or a backpack full of free food or supplies for school, other material aid is given too.

I am excited about being a part of the Featherstone Elementary community where we are using our hands, hearts, and minds to positively change the world around us. T his will be my 10 th year with Prince William County schools.

The county is recommending that students spend at least 1 hour per day on school work. In addition, encore activities will also be posted weekly. 5th grade office hours are Tuesday 9:00 - 9:30 and Thursday 1:00 - 1:30, although you can email or Dojo at any time and we will respond as soon as we are able.

The purpose of homework is to provide: 1. Pre-learning opportunity to organize new information or build interest in an upcoming topic, or build interest in an upcoming unit of study.
